Manager, Human Resources

The Manager, Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership within the Human Resources team and within the credit union through the execution of day to day responsibilities.   This is a temporary full time position. 

In summary, the Manager, Human Resources will:

  • Report to the Vice President, Human Resources
  • Lead , manage and mentor the Human Resources Coordinator and Assistant
  • Support the engagement and retention of employees through our employee experience that focuses on “hiring the best, treating you well & seeing you stay”
  • Provide consultation with management and employees throughout the credit union

As the successful candidate, you’ll have responsibility for:

  • Delivering an excellent candidate experience
  • Research and recommend best practices that support the culture of WFCU Credit Union
  • Lead the HR team to ensure legislative compliance (i.e. policy development)
  • The recruitment process including entry level and specialized staffing needs
  • Have responsibility for salary administration including annual reviews and incentive pay
  • Liaise with our benefit provider as a Plan Administrator to manage employee benefits

The “must-have” skills and qualifications that we’re looking for are:

  • A degree or diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Human Resources or equivalent
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in a related position
  • Excellent communication skills, written and spoken
  • Expert computer proficiency skills operating Microsoft Excel and Word

These additional skills are considered assets too:

  • CHRP or CHRL designation
  • Experience navigating a Human Resources Information System
  • Experience working in the financial services industry
