Digital Marketing Specialist

The Digital Marketing Specialist is responsible for the creation of internal and external marketing materials from concept development to post-production delivery. This position plays a key role in communicating WFCU Credit Union’s brand across a variety of digital platforms.

In summary, the Digital Marketing Specialist will:
  • Report to the Manager, Marketing & Creative Services
  • Be a creative story-teller and technical expert who will record and edit high-quality video and audio in a variety of styles to create engaging stories and messaging
  • Balance working collaboratively with a strong marketing team and independently using all forms of media and communication
  • Work in a fast paced and deadline driven environment while collaborating with various stakeholders including executive level managers
  • Use strong organization and attention to detail to tailor content that exceeds the needs of our target markets
  • Have flexibility to work additional hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
As the successful candidate, you’ll have responsibility for:
  • Coordinating logistics for photo and video shoots; including location, set up, lighting equipment maintenance and technical considerations
  • Developing, capturing, producing and fine-tuning studio-quality photographs and video
  • Using best practices to build a library of videos and photos for usage that includes branding, award applications, training modules, product and service commercials and corporate presentations
  • Interviewing and building relationships to support content-generation efforts with subject matter experts
The “must-have” skills and qualifications that we’re looking for are:
  • A minimum of three years’ experience in a related marketing, creative services and communication environment
  • Expert computer proficiency skills in a Mac based environment using Adobe Creative Suite with an emphasis on Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects and Photoshop is necessary
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML or other web design platforms
  • A strong communicator with openness to receiving creative feedback
  • Working knowledge of the latest best practices in video production, video formats, compression, content management and editing
  • The ability to stay informed of new and upcoming trends
  • Demonstration of project management capabilities that include the ability to multi-task, prioritize, organize and manage time accordingly
These additional skills are considered assets too:
  • A degree or diploma in Communications, Journalism, Video Production, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field
  • Knowledge of all social media platforms
  • Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Adobe InDesign
  • Knowledge working with email communication platforms including Mailchimp and Constant Contact
  • Experience with digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads and social media advertising
